You get quite a good view at the size of the chick in this particular clip. One thing that I’ll research for next year is a better camera where I can maybe remotely adjust the focus. I manually set the focus when I built the bird box using a tape measure as “a bird” and focused it to look clear!
Welcome to all new visitors.
If you are interested in seeing the construction of the birdcam then please look at the “About Birdcam” link on the right hand side.
You can also access the blog details back from when it started in February, the current live picture as well as all videos that the camera has captured using the menu on the right.
As promised I’ve uploaded more videos this morning from the action over the last 24 hours. Enjoy and please send this blog onto your friends to view. Since I set the blog up I’ve had 11′000 hits from all around the world!
As promised here is our first chick….more videos to follow as we have more than 1 now!
All the hard effort with setting up the camera, managing the hosting and e-mail services have finally paid off!
Yup, checked and we have chicks now!
Will upload a video later but looks like the first one is visible just after 7 this morning then we can see even more later on in the day!
Check back for an update!
We seem to be almost back up and running now.
My broadband has been migrated from ADSL24 to o2 as it’s cheaper for me (£7.50pm as opposed to £19.99pm) for an upto 8meg service but with an unlimited bandwidth (subject to fair use of course!)
I’m suffering a little with google not being able to receive the e-mail from birdcam so checking for updates is a little more difficult at this time but I shall try my best!
Anyway reviewing some files from yesterday and it looks like we could have 10 eggs after all, what do you think??
Let me know by registering and sending comments!
Well after a reformat and reinstallation we are back on air!
Nothing missed thankfully, phew that was a close one!
Problem seems to have been hard drive related, thank god for windows xp SP3, made getting up and running a lot easier!
Looks like it could be a hard drive failure.
Am out this evening but will attempt to bring back up online tomorrow!
Sorry guys
Looks like Birdcam stopped responding over night.
I’m at work at the moment but hope to get it restored early afternoon GMT when my wife gets home.
